Stormy Nights

'Nights in Rodanthe' follows the lives of Adrienne Willis and Paul Flanner. She is a sixty-year-old woman who has dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and career, yet still believes love is essential to a fulfilling life. He is a renowned doctor struggling with a strained relationship with his son. She seeks refuge in Rodanthe, a small town in North Carolina, spending the weekend at a friend's inn. There, she hopes to find the peace she desperately needs to reflect on the conflicts troubling her—her husband has asked to come back home, and her teenage daughter criticizes her every decision. Shortly after her arrival at the inn, a major storm is forecast, and Dr. Flanner arrives in town. As the inn's only guest, he isn't looking for a relaxing weekend, but is rather facing a crisis of conscience. Now, with the storm approaching, they seek solace in each other and, in just two days, begin a romance that will change both of their lives.
